Polish Shiplovers' Club
- Basic Information

This is a Website of KMSiO - The Club for Enthusiasts of Merchant Vessels and Naval Ships in Poland.

The Club is under organization at present with first meeting scheduled for Spring '99.

Polish shiplovers are always open to contacts with shiplovers from other countries. We would love to meet shiplovers from abroad and to see them attend our club meetings. We are also eager to establish more individual contacts.
You may contact the author of these pages at piosta@admis.com.pl.
A listing of some of the other Polish shiplovers can be found here.

Poland is rather an interesting country for shiplovers. We have several ferry lines running from Gdynia, Gdansk and Swinoujscie to Denmark and Sweden. Big maritime museum is in Gdańsk, another one - in Szczecin with several further branches, such as lighthouses and museum-ships, including tall-ship Dar Pomorza, and collier Soldek. We also have a Naval Museum in Gdynia with its museum-ship 2nd WW, British built Polish Navy destroyer Blyskawica.
There are some 60 visits of cruise ships (including Oriana or Vistafjord) every summer in Gdynia.
In Gdynia, Gdansk and Szczecin you may take a harbour trip onboard small "white fleet" cruise vessels.
